Les Arcades is a private secluded and impeccable barn conversion situated on the private estate of the Domaine de Moncimier, some 15 hectares. The property is classed 3 stars by the French Tourist Board and as suitable for handicapped persons, it is adapted for those with reduced mobility, hearing and sight.

Originally an 18th century barn the transformation provides spacious accommodation whilst maintaining many original features. You will enjoy the private sun terrace, the old wooden beams and the private space this property affords, it is not overlooked, whilst you are also free to explore the estate and nearby picturesque village of Saint George de Monclard.

Entering the barn from the sun terrace you will find a large open plan lounge and fully fitted kitchen. With a full height ceiling to the original roof beams and first floor gallery and passerelle, the space is impressive.

On the ground floor off the lounge is a double bedroom and Italian shower room with wc.

The fully fitted kitchen has hob, extractor, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and kettle. Plus all the other pots, pans, cutlery and plates etc.

French doors open onto the private sun terrace and stairs lead up to the first floor. The double aspect lounge has television, DVD armchairs and sofa, with a wood burner and central heating for the colder months.

On the first floor there are a further two double bedrooms, shower room and wc.

The accommodation has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There is an iron and ironing table, washing machine and dryer. A cot and highchair are available as required.

Outside there is a barbecue, garden furniture and private parking. In addition there is a terrain de boules for those who want to try their hand at this uniquely French sport.

Everything was perfect! The greeting from the owners warm and welcoming, a house perfectly arranged and equipped. A successful restoration in an exceptional environment with lots of things to do roundabout, ideal for mountain biking, walking, visits, good wine and picking mushrooms.... We unreservedly recommend this holiday rental.

Very nice holiday property surrounded by trees, total peace and quiet. The house is modern, it was only recently very tastefully renovated.

"We had a very enjoyable stay in the gite for 8 days. It is new, clean and very attractive,comfortable, well equipped with good modern ammenities. Its immediate location on a small farm, is very private and pretty with easy walking distance to a small village/hamlet. Supermarkets are only a short drive. Located in an area of France with many many wonderful attractions, villages, scenery, rivers and chateauxs. The owners are very friendly,informative and english speaking, which was very helpful for us. We highly recommend this gite, and we would love to return for a longer stay."

Nothing to say about the equipment, the cleanliness and the location of the gite. It is furthermore magnificiently restored, spacious, practical, comfortable and very peaceful. The welcome was perfect. Highly recommended, excellent quality for the price.
