Moncimier is a splendid and unusual colonial style country house situated on a private estate of some 15 hectares just outside the picturesque village of Saint Georges de Monclard. Transformed in the 19th century from an ancient stone house to this imposing country mansion with magnificent entrance hall and sweeping staircase the whole set off by the covered first floor balcony. The grounds were at the same time landscaped and planted with huge sequoias shipped in from America.
You can experience staying in this unique accommodation which has been divided by the owners to give a private holiday apartment comprising of 4 bedrooms, lounge and kitchen/dining room spread over 2 floors, with your own private garden and pool (10m x 5m) behind the house.

The house you see today was built in 1875 and contains many original period features both from this period and from it’s humbler origins. With tall ceilings and well proportioned rooms with wooden floors and including some exposed stone walls and stone floor to the dining room, the house offers a glimpse to a bygone era and beyond.




You can enter the house from the main front door which leads to a large tiled hall, staircase to the first floor accommodation and doors off to the utility room and lounge.
Side doors front and rear also give access to the kitchen/diner and lead out onto the garden. A fully equipped open plan kitchen has everything you need, cooker, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffe machine, toaster, kettle and all the usual pots pans, cutlery and plates etc.



The lounge has a sofa and armchairs, plus a dining table, television and DVD. Windows look out over the rear garden and terrace towards the private pool.
The large entrance hall entered from the lounge or through the utility room gives access via the sweeping wooden staircase to the first floor bedrooms.
Also on the ground floor are a shower and WC.


There are four double bedrooms on the first flloor, plus shower room and WC. You should note that the fourth and smallest of the bedrooms is accessed internally through bedroom three or maybe entered from the first floor covered balcony.
A cot and highchair are available as required.
There is a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board available in the utility room shared with the owners.
