INTRODUCTION
Les Pierres is a typical french gite in a rural location not to far from the nearby town and village. The accommodation is spacious for two people but basic, with a kitchen / diner, large lounge and double bedroom. All on one level there is a large shower room and separate wc, plus a small utility room with washing machine.
There is a private garden to the front with barbecue and seating, plus off road parking.
From the east side of the house, facing the pool, an entrance door opens to a large hall/vestibule, with a double ground floor bedroom off, plus large shower room, separate wc and large cupboard with washing machine.
The hall leads onto the large lounge with vaulted ceiling open to the mezzanine floor and through to the kitchen diner. Two sets of French doors open out onto the west facing terrace overlooking the large lawned garden.
There are garden chairs and table for eating out and a barbecue to enjoy those warm summer evenings.

Situated in the Vallee de l’Isle the area has numerous places of interest to visit
including the regional park at Lake Jemaye, with sandy beach, swimming, boating and
nature trails. The Abbaye Notre Dame de Bonne Esperance at Echourgnac a Cistercien
monastery where you can sample and perhaps take home the famous cheese.
The nearby market town of Mussidan with it’s large Saturday morning market has the Museum Andre Voulgre, a bourgeois house with a collection evoking the crafts of times past. For those seeking something more active, why not hire a canoe, or an electric boat at nearby Neuvic, a boat trip on a traditional Gabare from the Moulin de Duellas at St Martial d’Artenset.
