The Abbaye Notre Dame de Bonne Esperance at Echourgnac a Cistercien monastery where you can sample and perhaps take home the famous cheese.

The nearby market town of Mussidan with it’s large Saturday morning market has the Museum Andre Voulgre, a bourgeois house with a collection evoking the crafts of times past. For those seeking something more active, why not hire a canoe, or an electric boat at nearby Neuvic, a boat trip on a traditional Gabare from the Moulin de Duellas at St Martial d’Artenset.
